Within the Global Entrepreneurship Week, Basra University for Oil and Gas Organizes a Workshop on the Skills that Graduates Need in the Labor Market

     On the occasion of Global Entrepreneurship Week and within the activities of Basra University for Oil and Gas and under the patronage of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Muhammad Al-Kaabi, Division of Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up organized a workshop for fourth-year students at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas on Tuesday the fourteenth of October. The second ongoing session was in the conference hall, where the head of the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division, assistant lecturer Ali Kh. Knehar, lectured. At the beginning of the workshop, he reviewed the services provided by Rehabilitation and Employment Division to graduates and students alike, while introducing the division functions and activities towards graduates. The lecturer touched on the most important skills that the student needs. To prepare for the labor market, the method of writing a CV, the mechanism for applying for training or jobs, choosing students, and the certificates that the student needs to be qualified to engage in the labor market. He also spoke about how to use the student time correctly so that he was ready for training and employment. Mr. Kneher highlighted the most important international oil companies that deal with the university also had close relations with private sector companies. At the conclusion of the workshop, the lecturer confirmed that the workshop was a general introductory one, and there would be detailed workshops in the coming days for fourth-year students in order to prepare them for the labor market.
