As part of the Loyalty to scholars and teaching Staff initiative, which provided benevolence and good role models for students, one of the study halls in the complex of halls of the Departments of Oil and Gas Economics and Oil Project Management was named after one of the college professors, the late Dr. Hussein N. Sharhan (who died while performing the Arba’een visit), and a large picture of the late man was hung in the hall. The laboratory was named after his name, and Surah Al-Fatihah was cited inside the hall in memory of the deceased on Thursday, the ninth of November, in the presence of the representative of the Academics Syndicate at the university, Professor Dr. Hussein Al-Eidani, the Dean of College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Sami O.Al-Tamimi, and the heads of scientific departments.
