College of Petroleum Industrial Management Celebrates the Graduation of its Students for the Academic year 2022-2023, the Course (Advancement and Construction)

Basra University for Oil and Gas organized the annual central ceremony for the graduation of the seventh class of College Engineering for of Oil and Gas and the third class of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, the (Revolution and Construction) course for the academic year 2022/2023, on Thursday, the ninth of this November. The event was under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, under the supervision of the President of Basra University for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Muhammad Al-Kaabi, and in the presence of the local government representative, Hasan Al-Najar, the President of University of Basra, Professor Dr. Saad Shaheen, the President of the Southern Technical University, Professor Dr. Rabie Al-Abbasi, and the Dean of College of Al-Kunoz, Dr. Osama Al-Abadi, The director of the Oil Training Institute, the oil expert, Ali Al-Fartusi, and the director of university security, as well as the representative of Basra Oil Company, Mr. Najm Abdullah, the head of Basra Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Majed Mozan, and the head of the Businessmen Union, Mr. Subih Al-Hashemi. The ceremony was opened by reciting verses from the Holy Qur’an in the voice of the reciter (Muhammad Nizar). Then listening to the national anthem and reciting Surah Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq and Palestine, followed by a speech by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, presented by his representative, Professor Dr. Muhammad Al-Kaabi, during which he stressed that the university was moving forward with confident steps and to be an important figure in the scientific area. Iraqi University, stressing the role of the university outputs in supplying the oil industry with competent young energies armed with knowledge, professionalism, and high ethics that aim to serve the country. Then came a speech by the representative of the local government presented by the deputy governor, Hassan Al-Najar, during which he stressed the importance of Basra University for Oil and Gas in supplying the sector. The oil company is filled with young that seeks to build and advance the country. He pointed out that Basra today was happy with the graduation of a group of its righteous sons who seek, with their oil specializations, to serve the city and according to their important specializations. Then came the speech of the first graduates, presented by the student (Tabarak N. Jabbar), during which she thanked the families, students and teaching staff for their generosity over the past four years, recalling her teachers from primary school to university level. She also recalled at the conclusion of her speech the passing of two professors from College of Oil and Gas Industrial Management ( Lecturer Hussein N. Sharhan, and Lecturer Bashar A. Wahid) Then it was the turn to ask permission from the deans of the colleges, the Dean of the College of Oil and Gas Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas A. Jassim, and the Dean of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Sami O. Al-Tamimi, as they asked for permission from the President of the University to grant Bachelor’s degrees for graduates, each according to his specialty. Then the scientific assistant at the university, Professor Dr. Ammar K. Al-Baaj, led the university oath with the graduate students, and then came the section honoring the top outstanding students in the colleges and scientific departments for morning and evening studies, as gifts were presented from the Basra University for Oil and Gas and Technical University. The Southern University of Basra, Basra Oil Company, Petroleum Training Institute, Al-Kunoz College, Basra Chamber of Commerce, the President of Businessmen Union, and Abu Al-Khair Organization. Basra University for Oil and Gas also extended its thanks and praise to the entities supporting the university by honoring them with the university shield, including the President of University of Basra, Basra Oil Company, the Assistant Governor of Basra, and the President of the Southern Technical University. Petroleum Training Institute, Businessmen Union, Basra Chamber of Commerce, and the Dean of Al-Kunoz College for their pioneering and important role in supporting the university. The ceremony concluded with a collective stand by the attendees and the graduates with the University Council and colleges to raise the Palestinian flags in solidarity with the brotherly Palestinian people.
