The Dean of College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas at Basra University for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Sami O. Al-Tamimi, participated in chairing a committee to discuss the doctoral thesis at the University of Basra (College of Administration and Economics/Department of Banking and Financial Sciences) on the topic of “agile financial management and its reflection in the financial sustainability of a sample of companies.” The Iraqi industrial sector and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries for the period 2017-2021. The thesis of the researcher (Arshad M. Ahmed) aimed at the necessity of companies moving towards agile financial management, or as it is called, financial agility, in order to enable them to keep pace with the transformations and changes that occur in the business environment characterized by uncertainty, to achieve sustainability. Finance, and the thesis concluded that the majority of companies that have achieved financial agility have characterized their business with financial sustainability and have reserved a position for them in the field of financial transactions.
