Department of Management and Marketing for Oil and Gas at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas organized a scientific symposium on (oil industries in Iraq) on morning, Thursday the nineteenth of October, in the conference hall and under the patronage of the President of the Basra University for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Muhammad Al-Kaabi, and under the supervision of the Dean of College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Sami Al-Tamimi. The researcher reviewed the prominent events in the oil industry, the origin of oil, its origin and formation, the process of prospecting, exploration, drilling, production, installation of crude oil and filtering, and among the most important matters related to the oil and gas industry. The lecturer explained the role of this industry through historical changes and the importance of studying these interim changes and their technical as well as economic impact on the country.
