To activate the role of universities in serving society and achieving sustainable development goals, in accordance with the urban afforestation guide prepared by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, College of Industrial Administration for Oil and Gas launched the second phase of the urban afforestation campaign to reduce the negative environmental impacts on civilians by planting trees and shrubs adapted to Iraqi environment in order to reduce degrees of Heat, for a sustainable, green, and more aesthetic environment, and to complement the university’s initiative to plant 1,000 trees. The campaign was sponsored by the Dean of College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Al-Tamimi, and under supervision of the Administrative Assistant, Dr. Adnan H. Jaaz, and in cooperation with Women’s Empowerment Unit, assistant lecturer Russel E. Nouri, with the participation of the students on Saturday, the fourteenth of October.
