A Lecturer from College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas Participates in a Symposium on Women and Youth Development

An Assistant lecturer, Israa F. Ghali, in Department of Oil and Gas Management and Marketing at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, participated in the discussion symposium entitled “Developing Women, Youth, and Marginalized Groups in the Program of the Next Government,” which was organized by the Academy of Political Development and Good Governance, Basra Governorate Platform, in cooperation with Sanad Organization for Human Rights. The discussion symposium was a group of opinions about the new government’s support for youth and whether. They will have a role in political and social decision-making that serves the public interest. The discussion centered around the participation of women and youth as candidates for the Provincial Council and their effective role, as well as discussing the role of civil society organizations in tabulating the goals and aspirations of youth. The symposium stressed the importance of educating society in principle that young people are the guarantee of the future and the efficiency of the present and the necessity of creating free and neutral media platforms to focus on the contents, goals and visions of young people and their aspirations for the new government, with the importance of encouraging support for youth projects and ideas, especially innovative and creative ones.
