College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas and Petroleum Training Institute Discuss Ways of Mutual Scientific Cooperation

College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas discussed with Oil Training Institute ways of mutual scientific cooperation. That came during the visit of the Dean of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Sami O. Al-Tamimi, to the director of Oil Training Institute, expert Engineer Ali Rahim Al-Fartusi, on Wednesday, 8/30. / 2023. Al-Tamimi was accompanied during the visit by the administrative assistant at the college, Dr. Adnan H. Jaaz, the director of the consulting office at Basra University for Oil and Gas, Dr. Ali K. Saddam, the head of the Department of Oil and Gas Management and Marketing, the lecturer Uday H. Ali, the head of the Department of Oil and Gas Economics, the lecturer Helen N. Al-Maliki, and the rapporteur of the Department of Oil and Gas Management and Marketing, the lecturer Haider A. Al-Assadi. During the meeting, both sides discussed activating joint scientific cooperation between the two institutions in various fields, the most important of which was mutual benefit from school curricula related to safety and production vocabulary, and agreeing to hold training and scientific seminars and workshops on topics of oil specializations in a way that serves society and develops capabilities. The possibility of exchanging teaching staff and mutual benefit in that regard was discussed at the level of presenting lectures or even at the level of training programs. During the meeting, Al-Tamimi stressed the importance of strengthening mutual scientific cooperation in the coming days in support of the oil industry sector in Basra and in order to improve students’ skills, including familiarity with the basics and requirements of the labor market.
