Scientific symposium at the College of Industrial Management of Oil and Gas on (Oil Pollution and Oil Rationing)

The College of Industrial Management of Oil and Gas, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Division at the Presidency of the University of Basra for Oil and Gas, organized a scientific symposium entitled (Oil Pollution and Oil Rationing) on Sunday morning, the thirteenth of August, at the conference hall and under the auspices of the President of the University of Basra for Oil and Gas, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hillel Hafez Al-Kaabi, and under the supervision and presence of the Dean of the College of Industrial Management of Oil and Gas, Prof. Dr. Sami Obaid Muhammad Al-Tamimi, and the symposium included the axis of oil pollution and the assistant teacher Hussein Kamel lectured in it Al-Abadi and the axis of oil rationing and lectured by the legal Fadia Abdul Karim Bajai, and discussed the researcher in the axis of oil pollution negative effects, especially in some areas of Basra that are exposed to pollution continuously as a result of burning associated gas, and the researcher showed some solutions that must be followed by oil companies to reduce the effects of pollution, including the adoption of modern technology in extraction operations and enhance the applied aspect of the clean green environment, while the legal Fadia Abdul Karim Bajay talked about the most important legal legislation that addresses the damage of pollution and stressed the need Enacting laws on oil pollution because it has become the most important crisis of the current era in light of the proliferation of injuries and diseases due to oil pollution, pointing to the importance of setting controls and conditions within contracts with investment companies to urge these companies to adhere to safety measures, preserve the environment and not harm the environment and hold accountable any party that violates these legislations that may mitigate the damage of various pollutions. The symposium witnessed several interventions at the end of its activities, including the intervention of Prof. Dr. Sami Obaid Al-Tamimi and Al-Mudar
