The Rapporteur of the Department of Oil and Gas Management and Marketing at the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Lecturer Haider A. Al-Asadi, participated in the activities of training workshop to introduce the mechanism of work of the U-Report and Learning Passport platforms, which was organized by the UNICEF International Organization and in cooperation with Ministry of Youth and Sports for the period from 11-13/7/ 2023 at the Van Royal Hotel in Erbil. Specialists from UNICEF and Ministry of Youth and Sports / Scientific Welfare Department attended the workshop throughout its three days. The lectures included theoretical introduction to the two platforms and their usefulness to the youth segment, especially Iraqi university students. The workshop also reviewed the importance of students joining these two platforms to develop their skills in preparation for their involvement in the labor market after graduation. The workshop witnessed practical applications to enter the two platforms, how to create an account, and benefit from the content of the platform in terms of job and training opportunities, opinion questionnaires, and important, documented and official information from approved international sources, in addition to providing an opportunity for participation for Iraqi youth to express their opinions on several important issues and deliver them to the official authorities. At the end of the workshop, certificates of participation were distributed to the trainees, in addition to submitting proposals and recommendations to activate the platform in the coming days in all governorates and at the level of all Iraqi university students.
