The lecturer at the College of Industrial Management of Oil and Gas, Mr. Abbas Ali Gomaa, received a doctorate from the Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics / Wasit University for his thesis tagged (Policies of international energy organizations and their role in influencing the oil market for the period 1990-2020), and the thesis aimed to introduce the policies of international oil organizations as an effective variable in studying and analyzing the future growth of global demand for oil, especially in light of the trends and policies of the countries of the world in developing energy alternatives. The International Energy Agency (IEA) is the most influential, effective and often passive on global oil markets, as OPEC represents the supply side and its decisions are influential in the short term and often to maintain the stability of the minimum prices. On the other hand, the International Energy Agency represents the demand side or consuming countries, and its policies are characterized by focusing on a set of goals, the most important of which is controlling the global energy and oil markets in particular, and recommended amending OPEC's policy by supplying oil to member countries and following a strategy for their exports that includes short, medium and long-term plans, and that the International Energy Agency works to take into account the interests of other countries, especially developing countries. The OPEC countries should adopt economic policies that reduce dependence on oil resources, and after defending the content of his thesis, the committee decided to grant him a doctorate degree with a grade of (very good). The Deanship of the College of Industrial Management of Oil and Gas congratulates Dr. Abbas Ali Gomaa for this scientific achievement
