The College of Industrial Management of Oil and Gas organizes a seminar on the mechanism of applying program accreditation standards in university institutions

The College of Industrial Management of Oil and Gas at Basra University of Oil and Gas organized a seminar on the topic (the mechanism of programmatic accreditation standards in university institutions) under the patronage and presence of the President of Basra University of Oil and Gas, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hillel Hafez Al-Kaabi, on Sunday morning, the nineteenth of March, and the Dean of the College, Dr. Sami Hashem Faleh Al-Saadi and Dr. Abdul Razzaq Amer Adnan, lectured at the symposium, and explained that programmatic accreditation is the accreditation of specialized programs, i.e. the evaluation of academic programs with the standards of an institution. And emphasizing the quality of these programs and the extent to which they are commensurate with the level of the certificate granted, and they talked about the concept of accreditation and the mechanisms of achieving it in university institutions and the most important programs required in this regard, and pointed to the most important functions of academic accreditation, including ensuring that the educational institution or academic program meets the specified levels of quality, and including all faculty members in the institutional planning and evaluation process, and helping students identify educational institutions that achieve their ambitions, and facilitating the transfer of students from one educational institution to another, and we indicated that one of the requirements Academic accreditation is the existence of a vision and mission for each scientific department and each college and the possession of resources and resources to achieve this vision and mission, and the existence of a system for documenting activities, works and evidence, and the existence of guarantees that confirm the institution's ability to continue, and at the end of the symposium some teachers presented observations and opinions in this regard to improve institutional work
