A number of professors and students of Department of Oil and Gas Management and Marketing at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas visited the Christ Brothers in Basra Governorate on, Monday, the twenty-sixth of December, in order to present their congratulations and blessings on the occasion of their celebration of the birthday of Jesus Christ, son of Mary (peace be upon them) and the New Year. The delegation was received by the Syriac Catholic Archbishop of Basra and the south of the Syriac Catholics, Archbishop Firas Dardar, who praised the spirit of tolerance and peace and the importance of communication between the sects and groups of Iraqi society. The college delegation also presented a bouquet of roses and a congratulatory card to the Christians. The two sides also talked about the importance of cohesion between all components and the rejection of discrimination and unity under the banner of humanity and the homeland. For their part, the Christ brothers praised this visit and considered it a mission in order to consolidate the concepts of peace and peaceful coexistence in Basra. The Christ brothers also expressed their thanks for this initiative in communicating between academic institutions and the brothers Christ in the province of Basra.
