A number of male and female students of the fourth stage in College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas participated in a dialogue session organized by Women’s Empowerment Department in governorate office. It was held in cooperation and coordination with United Nations Development Organization and within the program of support Iraq’s recovery and stability through local development funded by European Union. The session was held at Basra International Hotel (Sheraton), on the morning of Tuesday, the sixth of December. The students were accompanied by the assistant lecturer Fatima H. Ahmed, the responsible for Women’s Empowerment Unit at the university. This discussion session came to exchange visions of young men and women with vision in reducing the phenomenon of violence against women in Iraq.
