Within the activities and events of the 16-day campaign launched by Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to empower women, which comes on the occasion of the United Nations declaring the twenty-fifth of November of each year as the International Day for elimination of violence against Women. The Dean of College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Dr. Sami Al-Saadi, accompanied by a number of teachers and students in the solidarity stand organized by the Women Empowerment Unit at Basra University for Oil and Gas to reduce violence against women. They released the hashtag (No violence Against Women) which witnessed words stressing the importance of supporting women and stopping all forms of violence against them. Al-Saadi stressed in his speech on importance of looking objectively at the scientific and creative efforts of women in all fields and recognizing that they are a basic partner in life and in all joints.
