College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas Organizes a Scientific Symposium on Viral Marketing

The Department of Oil and Gas Management and Marketing at the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas at Basra University for Oil and Gas organized on Monday, the twenty-eighth of November, a scientific symposium entitled (Viral Marketing). The assistant lecturer Uday H. Ali ran the session and the two students Ola Hashem and Tabarak Nazem lectured. The symposium reviewed the concept of viral marketing, which refers to the rapid spread of advertising for a product or service with a viral speed to the largest number of customers. The lecture also explained the history of viral marketing that appeared in 1997 and how it was a revolutionary service that coincided with the emergence of the e-mail service on the Internet, and they mentioned that there are three types of marketing, the most important of which are E-marketing, viral marketing and network marketing. As well as viral marketing tools that depend on the Internet service from social networking sites and websites. It also showed the most important advantages of viral marketing from lower volume of costs, increased sales rates, faster spread and more customers, touching on the most basic objectives of viral marketing to reach potential customers as quickly and less costly as possible and gain satisfaction. Customers, especially those who own business and a great deal of fame and good reputation.
