The lecturer, Haidar Al-Asadi, won an award for the best young critic in Basra during a festival that was held to support youth and highlight youth energies. On 5th Sept, the festival was organized by Literary Committee in Basra Governorate to revive youth cultural literature and under the slogan (Youth is the basis of society). It held under the auspices of Women Leaderships Organization for Development. The best literary figures in Basra Governorate were honored. The best fiction writer award, the best storyteller award, the best poet award, and the best critic award were distributed. The best critic award went to Mr. Haidar Al-Asadi. During the ceremony, he praised the honor and stressed that honor was the fruit of continuous effort and work and the fruit of presenting many research and critical studies published in scientific journals and Iraqi and Arab literary magazines
