The championship of the Dean of the College of Industrial Administration of Oil and Gas, Dr. Sami Hashem Al-Saadi for table tennis, was launched on Sunday, the twentieth of this June, with the participation of students, professors and members of the college, and organized by the Sports and Technical Activities Unit in the college and in cooperation with the Student Activities Department in The presidency of Basra University of Oil and Gas, and the matches of the first day witnessed intense competition between the participants, amid praise for the organization and the volume of participation in the second edition of the championship. The first day's matches were won by Munir Abbas over Ali Maher Jabbar, and the assistant teacher Muntazer Oreibi defeated the student Ali Adel Reda, amid a fierce competition witnessed by the first.
