Basra University honored the teaching staff in the College of Management Industrial Oil and Gas Director of the Department of Media and Public Relations at Basra University of Oil and Gas, Assistant Professor Haider Ali Karim Al-Asadi, for his contribution to the University of Basra’s first place in the ranking of Asian universities for the Times Higher Education award Asia 2021, during a ceremony held today. On the Shanshal Mall Theater in the center of Basra, Al-Asadi stated that his contribution came in preparing the idea of the International Puppet Theater Festival with a team of professors from the University of Basra and participating in chairing one of the committees of this international festival, which was targeting children in light of the Corona pandemic and providing the necessary awareness to the community in a way that brought Arab and foreign countries together and separated Its results through global interest in this event, the first of its kind at the time, which met with great resonance, made the University of Basra win an important and global award for this event, in addition to another event related to mobile cinema in Zamalek. for Corona
