Mr. Dean of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Muhammad Al-Tamimi, is following up on the registration process for first-year students in the scientific departments of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas. Mr. Dean also directed that their submission be facilitated and completed quickly in accordance with the registration mechanisms and regulations issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, for the academic year (2025-2026), amidst high organization and smoothness in the registration procedures. This follow-up comes within the College’s Deanship’s keenness to ensure that the work of the assigned committees proceeds quickly and accurately at the same time.

As part of the activities of the Ramadan Initiative for Volunteer Work document, the Student Activities Unit and the Sub-Committee for Volunteer Work at the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas organized a volunteer initiative (Ramadan Iftar banquet) for students of the University of Basra for Oil and Gas residing in the dormitories (students of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas and the College of Oil and Gas Engineering), both male and female students, for morning and evening studies, on the evening of Sunday, March 1, 2026, under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Muhammad Al-Tamimi, and with the voluntary efforts and participation of the professors of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas. The Administrative Assistant of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Ali Al-Asadi, who shared the Iftar banquet with the students, stated that this initiative is annual in order to contribute to supporting our university students residing in the dormitories and to try to care for them and support them morally during this holy month.

As part of the volunteer initiatives in community service, the Sub-Committee for Volunteer Work at the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas organized a volunteer campaign (distributing Ramadan baskets) to a number of needy families and orphans in the city of Al-Hussein, coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan, on the evening of Monday, February 23, 2026. The Ramadan baskets were presented to the honorable families by the Administrative Assistant at the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Ali Al-Asadi, who confirmed that this initiative is annual by the teaching and administrative staff of the college and will continue in the coming days as part of the initiative document of the Ramadan Initiative for Volunteer Work.

This visit is a humanitarian initiative for the orphans residing in the State House in Basra, which will give them an important incentive to face everything that has been lost in life.

The Dean of the College visits students in the dormitories

The University Psychological Counseling Unit organized a visit for students of the University of Basra for Oil and Gas. Mr. Dean of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Muhammad Al-Tamimi, and his accompanying delegation visited the students of the dormitories in their residence on Sunday morning (January 4, 2026). He reviewed the services provided to them and spoke with them about the comfort of the residence, in terms of the quiet that provides them with a suitable atmosphere for studying, as well as their measures for the cold weather. The University of Basra for Oil and Gas provided them with electrical (oil) devices designated for the winter season. Mr. Dean listened to their requests and, at the same time, instructed that they be fulfilled as quickly as possible.
