A humanitarian team went to the Children’s Specialized Hospital to check on the children sleeping there, under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Dr. Sami Hashem Al-Saadi, and under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Management and Marketing of Oil and Gas, the assistant teacher Uday Hussein Ali, with the participation of a group of students of the first stage of the evening study, on Wednesday the eleventh of May. Presenting a number of gifts, games and flowers to the hospitalized children, and the visit aimed to provide moral support to the children and their families and to plant a smile on the faces of the children with the disease. The hospital thanked and praised them for the initiative of professors and students of the College of Industrial Management of Oil and Gas Because it provides children with moral support that helps them recover and bear treatment doses.

 

 

  

  

The Students of College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas Organize an Entertainment Programme for Children at State House for Orphan Care

The students of Department of Petroleum Projects Management at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, in cooperation with students of Oil Training Institute, organized an entertainment program for children staying in State House for Orphan Care, on Wednesday, the thirtieth of March. In addition to a meal in which everyone participated in a friendly atmosphere, which expressed the cohesion and the charitable voluntary community message presented by the students in order to provide moral support to orphaned children, especially as we approach the month of obedience and mercy, the blessed month of Ramadan.

Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority and Student Activities Department of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research supervised competition of reciting the Holly Qur’an for students of Iraqi universities which organized by Basra University for Oil and Gas in cooperation with General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine and the Secretariat of Great Mosque of Kufa. Forty public and private universities participated in the competition. Hussein A. Hashaf, who is a student in College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas / Department of Oil and Gas Management and Marketing, won in the competition.

A Number of Students of Department of Management and Marketing of Oil and Gas Obtained Certificates in a Workshop on Development of Managerial Skills

A number of students of Department of Oil and Gas Management and Marketing of Oil and Gas at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas received certificates for their participation in an electronic training workshop (Development of Managerial Skills), which was conducted by Continuing Education Unit at College of Nursing at University of Basra. At the conclusion of the workshop activities, the students (Afaf M. Hussein), (Saif W. Ghazi), (Sadiq N. Muhammad), (Buraq W. Abdul Nabi), (Yasmin Abdul-Jabbar) and (Qatrelnada K. Araibi) were honored with certificates of participation.

  

  

  

 

IREX Trained Students of College of Industrial and Management for Oil and Gas

   In collaboration with Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, IREX trained number of students of College of Industrial and Management for Oil and Gas.

    The assistant lecturer Mr. Ali Khdair, the director of Preparation, Employment and Following up Section, said that the purpose of the training program was to help the participants to gain skills and expertise to involve them in business market. Also it aimed at helping them to develop their personalities by reinforcing the leadership qualities, communication and English.

  Dina Qais, a student and a coordinator, mentioned that the student learned how to get opportunities in the oil industry field.   

Two Students Participated in a Fine Arts Festival

  Two students from College of Industrial and Management for Oil and Gas participated in the first university festival for fine arts. It was organized by Correction and Supervision Office through Al-Elmy platform of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

   Dr. Riyad Al-Saeed, the director of Student Activities Department, mentioned that both students ( Eqtidaa I. Lazim and Ali Al-Akbar D. Yahya) presented a variety of paintings among 300 paintings belongs to fifty three governmental and private universities.

   Dr. Alaa A. Attia, the head of Correction and Supervision Office, sent greetings of the minister of higher education and scientific research Prof. Nabeel Kazim to the participants and his sponsorship of students’ activities as well as the need to pay great attention to them.

  

  

 

A Scientific Trip to Basra Cultural Museum

      On 25th April, Department of Management and Marketing for oil and Gas organized a scientific trip to Basra Cultural Museum located in presidential palaces. The trip was organized for the students of the first stage. It was supervised by Mr. Haidar Al-asadi, the director of Media Department.

  The students saw the historical masterpieces, which are about 440, in three halls. Each hall encompasses collections related to Sumerians, Babylonians and Assyrians.  As well as the hall that contains a gallery about Basra folklore.

  

  

  

  

Annual Exhibition for Pictures of Oil and Gas Field

    On 30th April, College of Industrial and Management for Oil and Gas in collaboration with Students Activities Department hold an annual exhibition. It was opened with the presence of the scientific assistant of Chancellor Dr. Emad AlKharsan, the head of Department of Management and Marketing of oil and Gas Dr. Nsaif Jasem, and many lecturers and students.

   The exhibition contained a number of pictures highlighted oil and gas field and extraction operations in an artistic, scientific way.
